Earlier this week, I was discussing my choice for President of the United States, and I took an interesting position by ordering the candidates that have sufficient promotion that I am aware of their candidacy. The following list shows my preferences from 1-7. I based this entirely on how their positions match up to my political ideology.
- Bob Barr
- Chuck Baldwin
- Alan Keyes
- Barack Obama
- Ralph Nader
- John McCain
- Cynthia McKinney
Any surprises there?

The fraudulent Commission on Presidential Debates has not heard enough from third party advocates in regard to getting candidates like Bob Barr, Ralph Nader, Chuck Baldwin, or Cynthia McKinney into the Democrat-Republican monopoly on the government. McBama is not a choice, and they need to know that there is no debate when both John McCain and Barack Obama are the evils we need to rid ourselves of.
Please take a few minutes to call them at 202-872-1020 and let them know that you want more choices when it comes to the debates. I plan on calling daily to ask them when Bob Barr will be included.

For those of us searching for smaller government, sound fiscal policy, and retaining our freedom, neither Barack Obama nor John McCain fits the bill. But if you are someone who must see how they stack up against someone who many regard as the measuring stick for those ideals, Marc at Liberty Maven has taken the positions of the two status quo candidates and held them up to the “Ron Paul Paul-O-Meter.” John McCain’s dismal score of 25 out of 99 possible points was nearly as low as I thought you could get until I saw Barack Obama’s deplorable 17 out of 99 possible points. They will soon be showing how Bob Barr stacks up to Dr. Paul’s stick. For information about the scoring and an explanation of the scale, you can find that here. Not only will they be sizing up the status quo candidates and Bob Barr, but they are planning to scale Chuck Baldwin, Ralph Nader, and Cynthia McKinney to round out the participants in this year’s election.
